Well, certainly the story is true. Now, the allegations in the complaint, on the other hand, will have to be proved in a court.
It sounds like the chief witness -- the friend that was told to stop performing CPR -- will be hard to contradict. OTOH, it's his word against the word of the police officer. It will depend, ultimately, on if there are other witnesses and the sensitivity of the lawyers and the jury.
Disgusting. These kinds of stories make me depressed, despairing, angry. I feel a kind of remote-controlled humiliation. If I believed in Hell, it would be full of people who robbed others of their lives and dignity. x
