Yes, she's strange and different...but not THAT different.

25 wonderful years ... or more

Things have been really, REALLY busy lately: laboring under an ever-increasing load at work, struggling to keep house and yard and vehicles maintained, getting kids to and from school and the few extracurricular activities they participate in and looking for a better (i.e., non-contract, permanent, higher-paying) job. That's my excuse for not blogging much lately and I'm sticking to it. However, I did want to take a moment to acknowledge the fact that yesterday was our anniversary. For those who are curious, our standard answer to "How long?" is now "25 wonderful years! Of course, we set up housekeeping in 1970 ..." Yes, we were child brides - I was 3, she was 1.

Welll ... there's not a lot of difference between the deep Piney Woods of east Texas and Tennessee. And I think I may have mentioned that some of my great-great-greats came from somewhere in TN.

Congrats on the anniversary! 25... wow, you have us beat. Last weekend was the 16th anniversary of our meeting.

Normally people refer to relationship anniversaries in the context of marriage or some other formal ceremony. We've had neither and are forbidden by law from the first one, needless to say. So I just mark ours as the weekend we met, because, to use a cliche, it was indeed love at first sight.
