Do you know any young (like sixish and up) women? If you do, you might want to point them to Empowering Young Women, a website with links to a number of sites that recognize that "gender is not an impediment to accomplishment". My daughter has just started showing an interest in using the computer and while she's not online yet, this is one site that I'll have bookmarked for her when she steps onto the 'net.
