Stuck in Yucatan
Well, circumstances have conspired to keep me stuck in Yucatan until at least next Wednesday. On the good side, this is a beautiful place to be stuck. On the bad side, this means that I won't be able to vote next Tuesday - the first time since I got old enough to vote that I've missed doing so. But based on the following stories, it looks like the current powers-that-be are doing an admirable job of self-destructing and my votes won't be needed to oust them. (We can only hope)
The headlines:
U.S. seeks silence on secret CIA prisons
Papers sold to military: "Rumsfeld must go"
Ohio's Rep. Bob Ney resigns
British believe Bush is more dangerous than Kim Jong-il
Is administration muzzling warming research?

As you said, Jami, the current PTBs have (HOPEFULLY!!!{-;) drummed up enough anyone-but-them votes to make your absentia alrighty.

those are great links. we'll just keep doing our part and who knows maybe we will change one persons vote. one would be better than none.

Santorum lost. My faith in the political process has been (somewhat) restored.
