Good-bye
Tex died on Sunday. His funeral was today. He was a good and kind and compassionate man. His oldest son has been one of my best friends for almost 50 years. I feel very bad today, not for Tex since he is no longer in pain, but for his family because their pain is only starting. Been there, done that and it really sucked. Yes, they'll get through it; we all do. But there are days like today when I really miss my Mom and Dad. A lot.

Saying he is out of pain never makes it quite OK for those left to deal with their own pain.
