Don't be terrorized

Our President has put forth a litany of things, including withdrawing from Iraq, that he says "will mean that the terrorists have won". I disagree. The terrorists win when we are terrorized. That's the purpose of terrorism; not to kill people but to terrorize them into focusing on the terrorists' agenda and doing things that they wouldn't normally do. And so far, with the help of our government, that's just what the terrorists have managed to do. The implementation of a new top-heavy bureaucracy and the erosion and restriction of our rights as a direct response to a singular act of terrorism means that the terrorists won years ago. We live in fear - government-promoted fear - because the government knows that's the only way they can retain power and keep us under control. However, here are some facts:

Here and here are a few more facts, too. It's your choice.

In reply to your latest comment on my own blog Jami, no, I hadn't read this and yes, you're quite right - across the water you and I have been on the same wavelength over the past 24 hours when it comes to terrorism and being terrorised. Great stuff! Well, not 'great' but you know what I mean... As in, good to see it from a US perspective as well as a UK one... x

That is absolutely true. How true. We are being terrorized by our own government. They are the terrorists at this point.

Have you ever seen the web film Zeitgeist? It's right up your alley and a must-see. We own it on DVD but you probably won't be able to rent it. You can see it for free here:

BTW... totally off topic but I LOVED Pulp Muppets. Pulp Fiction is one of my most favorite films of all time. Not to mention.. MUPPETS!!
