Lunch today
I got a call about 10 this morning from a very close friend who I have not seen in several years. She was in town and wanted to know - sorry for the short notice - if we could get together for lunch. Oh, hell, yes we can! Two hours in advance is NOT short notice; two minutes IS. But I still would have gone on two minutes notice.
I am SO glad we got together! This woman is an amazing friend. After not seeing each other for years, it was like we just got together yesterday! Quite simply, we get each other. R. - I hope you read this because I want to tell you (again) that you are a very special person and that I love you very much! Thank you for calling!
