I donated blood on Thursday and got to fill out a card for a pediatric patient who would get blood during the holidays. They give the kids a little stuffed animal with the note.
I wrote that my sons needed blood transfusions when they were little babies and are now big, healthy guys. I hope this helped some brave kid feel a little better.
