Yes, she's strange and different...but not THAT different.

Revisiting Rochelle

About a year ago I posted about Rochelle Evans and her fight to attend high school in Fort Worth, Texas, as a girl. Now I'm posting an update. Things got pretty bad in the year after the previous post: her parents divorced, her mother lost her job, moving around caused her to miss so much school that she was essentially kicked out, she couldn't get work because she's transgendered and on and on. But now things are better. Rochelle is now 16, back in school and trying hard to get a scholarship to Texas Christian University to major in psychology.
“Rochelle, she is just having to do a whole lot, just growing up a whole lot by herself,” Lenora said as tears ran down her cheeks. “I’m just proud of her because as always she just succeeds by herself.”

She sounds like one, strong young woman!

I feel for her, it's just a damn shame that she has had to deal with this when what she desires causes no harm to anyone.

I wish she lived in Dallas, my boss would hire her.
